2 people accused of trying to scam Valley Stream man out of $32,500

Detectives say a 67-year-old man was having technical issues with his computer and went online to look for help.

Police say two people have been arrested for trying to scam a man out of over $32,500 in Valley Stream.
Detectives say a 67-year-old man was having technical issues with his computer and went online to look for help.
The fake representative, who used the name Joshua Matthews, then requested $32,500 to fix the problem.
News 12 has been told the man called police after his bank said he was being scammed.
Police say Weixu Huang, of New York City, and Yongmei You, of Brooklyn, of Brooklyn, are both charged with attempted grand larceny.
