Bouldering Project Brooklyn in Gowanus is said to be not only a place for fitness, but also opportunities.
"There's an invitation here to go on a journey. It's bigger than fitness," says yoga instructor Andrew Atwell.
The newly renovated 6,000-square-foot climbing space offers an opportunity for community members to come in and find a new hobby or continue expanding on ones you already have. Starting with the basics, Bouldering Project makes it simple for climbers of all skillsets.
Visitors can take a swing at the classic bouldering or head over to the new immersive Kilter wall that can tailor to a variety of climbing challenges.
Bouldering Project also prides itself on its youth programming with lessons for kids, including how there's always room for growth.
"You need that space in New York. You have your workspace, you have your home. You need that third space where you can go, do something good for yourself and connect with others," says Atwell.
