Groundhog Day is in a few days and Lady Edwina of Essex County will make her prognostication at the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo.
News 12 crews stopped by the zoo on Wednesday to find out what we can expect.
"This is going to be her third year, so the last two years she’s been very good – spot on about the weather. So she has a 100% success rate on what the weather's going to be,” says Caitlin Sharp, director of guest services at the zoo.
Sharp says that Lady Edwina doesn’t just predict the weather, she’s also really into sports.
"We do like to throw in a little extra prediction there, so we do have Edwina predict the Super Bowl as well. Usually, she tends towards her animal friends. But this, year we’ll just have to see because we don't have that as an option,” says Sharp.
News 12 will broadcast Lady Edwina’s prognostication this Friday. News 12’s Tony Caputo will have complete coverage starting at 5 a.m.
