37m agoA man pleaded guilty to a murder that happened outside of a Central Islip restaurant.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado confessed to fatally shooting German Ramirez, of Bay Shore, in 2021.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office says Rodriguez-Rosado and the victim got into a fight at Mi Nueva Encanto on Carleton Avenue.
Police say Rodriguez-Rosado tried to drive off after the shooting, hitting police cars in the process.
Under the plea deal, Rodriguez-Rosado faces 17 years in prison.
He will be sentenced next month.
